03 — QUESTIONS
What counts as an AI system?
Anything that infers from data to produce an output: a model in production, an agent, an embedded feature or a vendor system you rely on. The register records scope and risk tier per system, so the boundary is explicit.
Can we start with one framework?
Yes. Most teams begin with the EU AI Act or ISO/IEC 42001 and add frameworks once the evidence model is live. Nothing is rebuilt when you add the next one.
Do you replace our GRC tool?
No. Evident is the AI-specific system of record and exports into your GRC where you already run enterprise risk. Controls, evidence and exceptions stay linked to the source.
How long does implementation take?
A first register and two controls usually go live in two to three weeks. Full framework coverage depends on how many source systems need connecting.
Is there a pilot?
Thirty days, one framework, up to five systems, with a named assurance engineer. If the register is not usable at the end, you do not continue.
